L. Jarred Corn was admitted as a Partner of the Firm on July 1, 2007. He joined the Governmental Services Department of the Firm in 1992. His areas of expertise include the audits of municipal governments, school districts, private schools for the disabled, non-profit organizations, authorities, including fire districts, and federal and state financial assistance programs. He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Public School Accountant, and Registered Municipal Accountant in New Jersey. Mr. Corn earned his B.S. in accounting from Trenton State College (now known as The College of New Jersey).
During his career, Mr. Corn has performed audit services for numerous governmental entities and non-profit organizations, most of which are subject to the requirements of the Single Audit Act. Some of his experiences have included the City of Camden, the City of Newark, and the Delaware River Port Authority. He has also helped develop and instruct in-house continuing professional education seminars involving the implementation of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for governmental entities, school district accounting and auditing, and New Jersey municipal accounting and auditing, and has spoken as a discussion leader for continuing professional education seminars. In addition, Mr. Corn has participated in roundtables hosted by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Mr. Corn currently serves as the Chair of the Governmental Services Department.
Membership in Professional and Civic Organizations
Mr. Corn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves on the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Interest Group and an officer of the Political Action Committee (PAC).
Mr. Corn is a resident of Lumberton Township, located in Burlington County, New Jersey.
