On October 22nd, Bowman & Company LLP joined forces with Rowan University's Accounting Society and Beta Alpha Psi Chapter to host an event for students considering a career in governmental accounting or finance.
Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Society are both active student organizations that promote scholarship and career development in accounting and finance. Through guest speakers and events, these two groups provide opportunities that enhance the college learning experience. As one of the largest accounting firms in the Delaware Valley and the largest in Southern New Jersey, Bowman was delighted to participate.
Five members of our team, including Managing Partner Michael D. Cesaro, Senior Manager Evan J. Palmer, Senior Manager Kenneth M. Drewes, and Senior Accountants William H. Reilly IV and Paige Connery, helped host this event. Together, they showcased the intricacies and dynamic nature of governmental accounting. In addition to sharing their own individual career experiences, they explained the factors that have contributed to Bowman's 80 years of industry success.
This speaking engagement was particularly rewarding for our team because it represented an opportunity for Michael, Kenneth, William, and Paige to give back to their alma mater. Visit the Bowman Blog or our LinkedIn to find out more about our involvement with academic institutions.
As a firm dedicated to being a good neighbor and partner to the southern New Jersey community, we are honored to be a part of events that prepare and invigorate the next generation of accounting and finance professionals. We look forward to welcoming new talent to Bowman & Company LLP.
