John F. Dailey, Jr. joined the Firm in 1973 upon earning his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. In 1984 he was admitted as a partner of the Firm specializing in the audits of governmental agencies. From July 1, 1994 to June 30, 2010 Mr. Dailey served as Chairman of the Firm's Governmental Services Department. In 1997, Mr. Dailey received a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Experience: Mr. Dailey is currently the Partner-in-Charge of five municipal, two school district, three charter school and twelve fire district audit engagements. He has acted as an expert consultant on the establishment, consolidation and dissolution of fire districts. In addition, Mr. Dailey has served the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services as a member of the Registered Municipal Accountants Steering Committee charged with the responsibility of revising the Requirements of Audit for New Jersey municipalities. Mr. Dailey has authored articles that have been published in several professional journals, and speaks regularly as a discussion leader for continuing professional education seminars.
Membership in Professional and Civic Organizations: Mr. Dailey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and the New Jersey Registered Municipal Accountants Association. His professional accomplishments include a term as President of the NJSCPA (2002-2003). In addition, Mr. Dailey served the NJSCPA as a member of the Executive Committee for five years and as Vice President, Treasurer and as a member of the Board of Trustees. On the local level, Mr. Dailey served as President of the Southwest Jersey Chapter of the NJSCPA (1990-1991). In December 2009, Mr. Dailey was awarded the Society's 2009-10 Distinguished Service Award for "Exceeding Expectations and Setting the Standard of Excellence for Others to Follow". He has co-authored revisions to the New Jersey Law and Ethics course sponsored by the NJSCPA and serves as one of the Society's discussion leaders for Law and Ethics. From 2001-2008, Mr. Dailey served the AICPA as a member of Council and currently serves as a member of the Institute's Professional Ethics Executive Committee. Lastly, in March 2005, Mr. Dailey was appointed to serve as a member of the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. In April 2008, Mr. Dailey was elected Secretary to the Board.
In the community, Mr. Dailey was one of the founders of the Voorhees Business Association, serving as Chairman from 1989 to 1993 and currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee of St. Simon Stock Parish in Berlin, NJ. Mr. Dailey is a resident of Voorhees with his wife, Mary.
